Vernal Equinox Festival

  • Sat Manav Yoga Ashram 243 Greenwood Brook Road Industry, ME, 04938 United States (map)

In the Northern Hemisphere, the March equinox brings earlier sunrises, later sunsets and the beginning stirrings of Spring. No matter where you are on Earth the sun rises due east and sets due west at the equinox. These are also the fastest sun rises and settings we will see all year.

Traditions and cultures throughout time have used these prominent global shift in nature as a time to create and celebrate the internal shifts we all innately seek. Yogis use this time to solidify and deepen practices for growth and balance for the benefit of all beings. Join us to take a deep dive into the ancient philosophy of Yoga that is as pertinent today as it was thousands of years ago!

Ashram festivals are a remarkable opportunity to join a group of people living the ancient, traditional way of life Yogis have followed for thousands of years. Travel back to a time centered on what matters most in life, step back from what has become the “norm” and embrace a very old way of honoring life. This is a day of inspiring intensives, illuminating discourse, uplifting ceremony, incredible food and live music!
