Raksha Bandhan ~ Blessing of the Yogis

The expression "Raksha Bandhan" literally means "the bond of protection or care.” Today Raksha Bandhan is largely celebrated between sisters and brothers. Historically Raksha Bandhan honored the bond between all human beings and our shared purpose. Humans have the potential to make a life-enhancing, positive contribution to all life on Earth, just like all other species.

Raksha Bandhan “Blessing of the Yogis” is a time to discover and celebrate our true purpose. In living a truly humane life we will find the fulfillment we all innately seek. There is no greater joy than embodying the role nature created us for!

Our Gurus offer a sacred thread blessing ceremony to one and all during this festival. This only happens once a year. It is a rare opportunity to spend a few personal moments with the enlightened masters that have dedicated their whole lives to benefit all beings.

We sincerely hope you'll join us for this exciting opportunity that only comes once a year!

Each festival at Sat Manav Yoga Ashram is a rare opportunity and offering to the public to step out of daily life and travel back in time to a pure Yoga Ashram reminiscent of ancient India. A day of inspiring intensives, illuminating discourse, uplifting ceremony, incredible food and live music...all in an idyllic mountain setting! Join us!
