In the mountains of western Maine, Sat Manav Yoga Ashram carries forward a way of life dedicated to human transformation.
But to serve the world, we must weather the winter.
Maine winters are beautiful, yet long and demanding. To prepare for another season of snow, we’re focusing on a few key projects:
Getting our dump truck and tractor winter-ready for firewood hauling, sanding, and snow removal.
Upgrading our solar system to meet power needs more sustainably during low-sun months.
Improving insulation and heating systems across practice spaces and cabins for safety, comfort, and efficiency.
Each of these projects ensures the Ashram remains safe, functional, and able to serve — no matter how deep the snow gets!

As a nonprofit, every resource we have goes directly toward this aim. Ashram members receive no monetary compensation. We never turn anyone away for lack of funds, hosting regular donation-based and free programs so everyone can partake.
