Guru Purnima
We extend our heartfelt invitation to you for our Guru Purnima Festival Celebration, a time to honor and celebrate the profound wisdom of all revered gurus.
Meaning Behind Guru Purnima: What is a Guru?
In Sanskrit, "Guru" means "the dispeller of darkness." It embodies the essence of guidance, enlightenment, and wisdom. As the metaphorical finger pointing to the moon, a guru directs us towards the light while we navigate through the darkness of our minds.
In the context of yoga philosophy, darkness symbolizes not negativity, but rather ignorance or lack of understanding that burdens humanity. The guru serves as a beacon of knowledge, illuminating our path and dispelling the shadows of ignorance.
Guru Purnima is an annual celebration of the birth of gurus worldwide.
Join us as we celebrate the birth of our Guru, Baba, and take part in honoring the profound wisdom and light that he offers. It's a joyous occasion to come together, express gratitude, and bask in the radiance of knowledge and spiritual guidance.

Pradosh Vrat ~ Bringing Balance to the World
Pradosh Vrat celebrates one of the most exciting legends in Yogi lore, Sumudra Manthan, the churning of the ocean. This story explains the inherent balance of creation maintained by opposites in all things. The devas (gods) and asuras (demons) band together to churn the ocean of milk in search of Amrita (divine nectar). In the process they unearthed Halahala, the deadliest of poisons. Shiva , the most powerful Yogi, steps in, drinks the poison to contain it and saves the world from its destructive powers.
In Yoga the worst "poison" is maya, the illusion that we are separate from our fellow beings and therefore can follow any direction our mind chooses to take. Shiva is there to show us how we can overcome this illusion and be of benefit to all beings.
New to Yoga? An avid practitioner? Either way this is the perfect opportunity to learn the incredible depth and breadth of what Yoga has to offer. Join us for a day of celebration with live music, amazing food, enlightening discourse and discussion, illuminating ceremony and insight! All uniting us in our true purpose as human beings. Navaratri ~ Honoring the Divine Feminine
Navaratri, traditionally, is a festival that spans 9 nights honoring the many aspects of the divine mother, known as "Shakti." Shakti is the innate intelligence that drives the growth and movement of all life.
Every action we take effects the world around us and will either enhance life or diminish it. The result of our collective actions as a species is not a good one! We can see this in our environmental issues, as one of many examples. But the immense beauty of being the cause of an issue is that we also hold the solution!
This festival dives into and celebrates our power to live in alignment with "Shakti" or our natural place within the life cycle, to alter the course we are presently on, healing the earth instead of being the causations of her demise! Together we CAN turn around the collective trajectory of humanity!
