Pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 20-A, section 10708, subsection 4, this institution (Sat Manav School of Yogic Sciences) is not required to obtain authorization from either the State Board of Education or the Maine State Legislature in order to: (1) use the name "junior college," "college" or "university," (2) offer courses or programs for academic credit or (3) confer degrees.

Doctors who have graduated from Sat Manav School of Yogic Sciences have received their degrees under the legal exemptions provided by Title 20-A §10708 of Maine Education Law. These exemptions recognize the religious nature of the institution and its authority to grant degrees in accordance with its religious teachings.

In accordance with Title 32 §3270, the Doctors of Sat Manav Natural Healing Center lawfully practice medicine and healing under the practice of “the religious tenets of a legally recognized church in the ministration to the sick or suffering by mental or spiritual means.”

While operating under these exemptions, Sat Manav School of Yogic Sciences maintains a rigorous course of study and training. Our programs demand years of disciplined practice, immersive study in the sciences of Yoga and natural healing, and close mentorship under experienced teachers. Graduates are required to embody both the spiritual foundations and practical skills necessary to guide others responsibly in health and healing.
