Birth Doula Support
A sattvic approach to pregnancy and birth
Why Families Choose a Birth Doula
Many families value doulas for their continuous presence, personalized support, and attention to the emotional and experiential aspects of birth. A birth doula is dedicated to the person giving birth—offering physical comfort, reassurance, and clear information—so they feel accompanied and supported during one of life’s most intense and meaningful experiences
What Is a Sattvic Birth Doula?
Sattvic (or sāttvic) is a term from Ayurveda and yogic philosophy describing qualities that foster balance, clarity, harmony, and peaceful strength. In this tradition, all of nature expresses three fundamental qualities (gunas):
Sattva — clarity, calm, wisdom, balance
Rajas — activity, stimulation, drive
Tamas — heaviness, inertia, obscurity
A sattvic approach supports mental clarity, emotional steadiness, and overall wellbeing.
As a sattvic birth doula, I integrate modern doula care with the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda. My focus is to help create a birth environment that is calm, respectful, and supportive of the mother’s natural process—honoring childbirth as a profound physical and emotional transition
The Sattvic Approach to Birth
A sattvic approach supports calm, clarity, and balance during labor. Through steady presence, gentle comfort measures, and attention to the birth environment, I help families create conditions that support the mother’s natural process and sense of wellbeing
