Indian Raita Salad

Traditional raita is made with yogurt but in this fat free version we use silken tofu . Creamy taste of yogurt with out the fat!

Ingredients

  • 1 box silken tofu

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/2 tsp whole cumin seed roasted

  • 1/2 tsp salt 

  • Pinch of asafetida powder 

  • 1 tbsp water 

  • 2 cups minced European cucumbers

Instructions

  1. Place ingredients in a blender except the cumin seeds.

  2. Blend until smooth and creamy and set aside

  3. Heat a cast iron pan on low

  4. Add whole cumin seeds

  5. Heat until golden brown

  6. Add the roasted seeds and pour over chopped cucumbers.
